A Great Future in Potash
Harvey Laberge was part of the shaft-sinking crew and employed at the Potash Company of America, Patience Lake, which was the first potash mine to sink a shaft and go into production in Canada. This week’s Blog – which was originally published in Folklore magazine – takes a look at Harvey’s career and the history of the Patience Lake Mine, and how both were able to secure a great future in potash in Saskatchewan.
